Leaps Ahead Early Intervention

Teaching children to learn how to learn!

Welcome to Leaps Ahead Early Intervention

At Leaps Ahead Early Intervention (LAEI), we provide behaviour support, early intervention, and therapeutic supports for neurodiverse children and their families. Our goal is to help children build everyday skills, confidence, and independence while reducing challenges and celebrating strengths.

Every program is personalised and designed to be fun and engaging, so children enjoy learning and stay motivated. We use evidence-based strategies to help children “learn how to learn,” supporting independence and long-term success.

Therapy and support can happen wherever children feel most comfortable—at home, school, in the community, or at our welcoming Glenorchy centre. To make services accessible, we also provide mobile supports across Tasmania, including the North, North West, and East.

As a registered NDIS provider, our mission is to empower families with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to help their children grow and thrive. We walk alongside families every step of the way—offering practical guidance, celebrating progress, and making learning a positive, confidence-building experience.

At LAEI, we believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Is your child struggling to learn?

We can help by using evidence-based and positive behaviour support practices to help your neurodiverse child improve essential life skills and learn how to learn.
Leaps Ahead Early Intervention acknowledges the muwinina and palawa peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of land, sea, sky and waterways of trowunna/lutruwita (Tasmania).

We pay our respects to elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

We recognise a history of truth which acknowledges the impacts of invasion and colonisation upon Aboriginal people resulting in the forcible removal from their lands.

We stand for a future that profoundly respects and acknowledges Aboriginal perspectives, culture, language and history; and a continued effort to fight for Aboriginal justice and rights paving the way for a strong future.
